Bendicion Chris and Elders,
I am happy to hear that the format of the forum is changing. As an Iyawo, I am always searching for more information; of
course with the permission of my godparent.
I remember when Chris did a reading for me via email (oguncito) some time ago. He told me that I was going to get crown and
more information about my personal life. I have to say "Luz Y Progreso para tus muertos" for everything that you wrote me
in the reading was to the point. I am now crown(Shango and my mother is Oshun as you told me) and my life could not be better.

Finally - espiritismo simply explained without all the secrecy!!!, February 28, 2006
Reviewer: Rick Almeida (Santa Fe, USA) - See all my reviews
I was raised in what is known as espiritismo. Back in the day, it was difficult for me growing up to get information on how
to practice espiritismo. The espiritistas back then were very tight-lipped on these matters, unfortunately.
I didn't even know what or why 'bovedas' were used, much less how to create and maintain a boveda. This books explains how.
I did not know the origins and the why and how of some types of spirits. This books explains that too! Because of this book,
I can perform a simple misa blanca.
This is not pure kardec spiritism. There are different types of espiritismo active in the world today.
Espiritismo is derived from kardec but combines beliefs from other traditions as well. Chris DOES explain this as well.
This book writes clearly and simply on espiritismo as one of the offshoots of spiritism, not spiritism as kardec knew it in
his lifetime. What I'm trying to say is the author did not "copy most of his material from Alan kardec's works" as one reviewer
claims (makes me think he really didnt read the book), because kardec never wrote about bovedas, madamas, or misa blancas.
The pages are spaced for clarity, simplicity and readability. The author writes in a down-to-earth style, very approachable!
This is GREAT for a beginner who always wanted to know about this beautiful system. Gets you up and practicing right away.
I heartily recommend the book!
In addition, out of sheer curiosity I went to get a reading from Chris Ochun in a psychic fair in NYC. He was quite accurate.
Trust me I'm a real hard-to-please in these things, so I'm happy to say he gives wonderful readings
The Beginner's Guide to the Spiritual World, October 18, 2005
Reviewer: Harry G. Miranda "Armyboi5" (Miramar, Florida USA) -
Very insightful book on the basics of Spiritualism. It's not a Text Book version of Spirtiualism, but the path one man found.
Best way to learn in life is not by text books alone, but by learing from other's experiences. This book is a Must have for
Spiritualists!
Great Book, January 16, 2005
Great Book for any spiritualist also for beginners as well, but like previous post stated the book was very hard to get. Was
sold out everywhere I went until I was able contact publisher directly for my book. Can't blame book for being sold out so
quick it was worth buying. Looking for next book as well.

Awesome Espiritista / Spiritualist Book, January 16, 2005
AnnMarieWillows "AnnMarieWillows"
I am currently reading it for the second time, and looking forward to next book by Chris Ochun. The only problem I had was
purchasing the book. Everywhere I went it was sold out even right here in amazon, your best bet is ordering from the publisher
directly. Is a great addition not just to one's library, but also ones altar can help one learn to become a better Espiritista/Spiritualist.
You can go onto his yahoo group and ask any one how Chris Ochun is and I am sure you will very pleased.
Thank you
